This is a revised version of a keynote address given on October 23, 1996 at the second Exploring Servant Ministry Conference of the Diocese of New Jersey, held at St. Stephen’s Church, Waretown. Here McCoy outlines an interesting framework for looking at the work of the deacon as part of a ministering team.
