General Convention #81
June 2024, Louisville, KY

Bishops Approve $200K for Deacons, Resolution D023, a one-time allocation to the Association for Episcopal Deacons to support the ministry of the over 3,400 deacons. Read the news article in The Living Church.
Compensation for Non-stipendiary Clergy, Resolution A135 encourages each diocese to consider paying all active, non-stipendiary clergy, of any order under the age of 72, a minimum of $25 per month.

The Deacon's Reception, hosted by AED and The Fund for the Diaconate was attended by nearly 100 deacons and supporters.

General Convention #80
July 2022, Baltimore, MD
Only deputies, bishops, some alternate deputies, and essential staff and volunteers will attend.
C047 Establishing Compensation for Deacons Amended slightly by the House of Deputies, met with discussion in the House of Bishops. The HoD concurred and the resolution has been sent to an Interim Body for further study.

General Convention #79, 2018

Fall 2018: Sixteen deacons have been appointed to Interim Bodies of General Convention:
