Question #1
How do you envision contributing to the AED Board?  What are your special talents and gifts?

I have a passion for full inclusion of all people, and especially for recognition of the diaconate as a full and equal order. With broad experience of The Episcopal Church, the Anglican Communion, and our communion partners, I will encourage networking within and beyond the ministry of Episcopal deacons.

Question #2

What is your vision for the future of the Association for Episcopal Deacons?

I hope for the continued growth of the diaconate within and beyond The Episcopal Church, encouraging a wider age range among deacons, as well as increasingly diverse contexts, cultures, and languages. I would encourage learning with and from deacons in other parts of TEC (e.g., Europe, Honduras, Dominican Republic, Micronesia…) as well as more local rural and urban communities. I would encourage a wider diaconal presence in health care facilities, government, among the incarcerated, in maritime ministries, airport chaplaincies, and so many other locations needing human engagement and encouragement – sharing the love of God alive and evident in human presence, and encouraging others to expand their capacity to do the same.
