Archdeacon 101 Workshop
Saturday, April 9, 2022
Online
Registration: $40 (opens February 14)

Join experienced deacon supervisors who can help you shine in your new role. This workshop is also valuable for those who need a refresher or to revamp a job description. Topics covered: creating a job description; planning your budget (or how to advocate for one); models of diaconal pastoral care; and structuring the unique supports deacons need.

Essential resources will be shared, including an in-depth review of AED’s Diaconal Competencies, which are fast becoming the gold standard for diaconal formation practices. We will also cover deploying deacons and creating continuing education guidelines. Templates for these tasks will be distributed.

We're glad you visited!
AED is a membership association of persons and dioceses within The Episcopal Church whose mission is to increase participation and involvement of all baptized persons in Christ's diaconal ministry, especially by promoting and supporting the diaconate.
